Let’s use some common sense for a moment.

#1.  If you have a viral outbreak in a country which has a kill rate of between 50%-90% and is a worse threat to humanity than the HIV epidemic in Africa, then you probably shouldn’t INTENTIONALLY bring the virus into the United States since we don’t have it here.

The United States government did exactly the opposite on August 2, 2014 when they intentionally brought the first Ebola patient into the country.  “We do not see Ebola spreading within the U.S.,” Frieden told CBS News. “The way it spreads is not by casual contact, and it’s only from people who are very ill.” stated CDC Director Tom Frieden. I guess the ‘experts’ at the CDC were wrong about it spreading as indicated by the Dallas nurse who was diagnosed with Ebola after treating the patient who arrived in Dallas via airplane from West Africa infected with the disease.  After the patient went to the hospital and told doctors he had come from one of the countries with a confirmed Ebola outbreak and that he was now showing symptoms (i.e. fever, respiratory issues, vomiting, etc), the “experts”  sent him home with some antibiotics (used for bacteria not viruses).  Read Here

#2.  Let’s use common sense again.  If you have a confirmed viral outbreak occurring in a foreign country which kills up to 90% of people who contract it, you should probably isolate the epidemic by not allowing flights to enter your country.  Every country has the right and power to stop air traffic from anywhere it wishes.

“Six African countries have already banned or suspended flights from Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, and others have instituted other travel restrictions.”  Read Here..

The United States’ response on why NOT TO RESTRICT FLIGHTS:  Frieden, (CDC Director) who is heading the government’s Ebola response, has gone as far as to say  “that a travel ban could hurt Americans in the long run, by limiting the ability of relief workers and supplies to get into West Africa’s Ebola zone”.  Ridiculous.  He of course never mentions the fact that we could ban commercial passenger flights while still allowing supply flights with doctors to be made by the military.  Read Here..

And for those of you who are thinking, ” well maybe it would hurt the economy too much”.  The United States government was quick to threaten the State of Texas with a complete and comprehensive  flight ban, CANCELLING ALL TEXAS FLIGHTS after state representatives introduced a bill which would have made TSA pat-downs a misdemeanor and subjected TSA agents to arrest and/or fines.

Republican Dan Patrick said in response to the State of Texas backing down, “There was a time in this state, there was a time in our history, where we stood up to the federal government and we did not cower to rules and policies that invaded the privacy of Texans,”,    Read the Forbes Article Here: TSA Threatens To Cancel All Flights Out Of Texas If ‘Groping Bill’ Passed

Within days after a bill is introduced in the Texas State Legislature, the Federal government said it would execute a COMPLETE AIR TRAFFIC BAN on the State of Texas.  How much economic impact would that have had.  The Texas economy is bigger than each of the three African nations mentioned combined.GDPLiberia, GDPSierraLeone, GDPGuinea, GDPTexas So, don’t tell us you CAN’T ban air traffic from a pandemic ridden foreign country–you were more than ready and willing to exercise draconian measures when a free, independent State challenged your “authority”.

It sounds like controlling American Citizens is a higher priority than protecting our country and the world from a potentially deadly global epidemic.
